Saroya Tinker

Saroya is a professional women’s ice hockey player and youth mentor. Growing up she participated in dance, soccer, basketball, and hockey. She received an athletic scholarship to Yale to play ice hockey. She is currently a member of the Toronto Six in the National Women’s Hockey League.

She is a strong advocate for minority communities and she has instituted the Saroya Strong mentorship program to “elevate, educate, and empower Bipoc women in sport.”

As a visible minority in hockey, she hopes to encourage youth athletes from all backgrounds and inspire the next generation.
